Leadership Principles

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy talks about the Leadership Principles (LP) that has made Amazon successful over the last 20+ years.

Great People

  • Smart
  • Are Right, A lot
  • Look around corners
  • Think Big
  • Into the details
  • Able to move quickly
  • Have high Ownership
  • Have the right Customer Obsession

As a manager you have to thoughtful about what people need to grow. It's a privilege to be a manager. Recognize what people are good at, but also recognize what they need to grow.

Where the rubber meets the road for customers is what you deliver for them. What drives the outputs are the inputs. So, you can't control the stock price (output), but you can deliver on it by being good with the inputs. Delivery is the starting line. Fast and organized about launching, but also constantly iterating.
